Sheffield United boss David Weir is giving trials to three players during their three game tour of Scotland.

Two of the players have been playing in the Scottish Premier League whilst the other is an international midfielder for the tiny Island of New Caledonia in the South West Pacific.

Danny Grainger
The 25-year old left back is a free agent after being released by Heart of Midlothian at the end of last season.

He is looking to get his career back on track after suffering an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury last November.

Grainger has made over 200 career appearances since starting his career at Gretna. He has also had spells with Brechin City, Dundee United and St Johnstone.

Steven Saunders
The Scottish international defender is a free agent after being released by Motherwell at the end of last season.

The 22-year-old is another player who is looking to get his career back on track after a lengthy time out through injury.

Saunders has made just three appearances in the past two seasons since suffering an Achilles tendon injury.

The defender, who can play in the centre of defence or at right back had been a regular in the side before his injury and he made 33 appearances in the 2010/11 season.

Roy Kayara
The 23-year-old midfielder plays for AS Magenta in the New Caledonian League who won their domestic league in 2012.

Kayara plays for the New Caledonian national side and he has scored six times in nineteen appearances for his country.

He has been with Magenta for the past three seasons having started his career with fellow Caledonian side Hienghène Sport

New Caledonia is situated in the South West Pacific Ocean to the East of Australia.
