Busy Times!

I suppose a loss and a draw are fair results, given the amount of games that are rushing towards us.

I read that NC is focusing on the FA Cup now, and not risking the players too much before then. I presume he`s happy that we have enough points to stay up in the division and consolidate during the close season.

I do have a bit of a gripe though, with the teams we have been playing. I make that nine yellow cards on opposition teams in the last two games. Why do teams have to be so “dirty”? It always holds up and interrupts the flow of the game, and in my eyes, a lot of it isn`t justified. I`m sure if we picked up five yellows in the Swindon game that would have resulted in one of our players having an early bath!

I think we`ll have to see what happens in the close season now, see if NC manages to bring some talent into BDTBL. I know he`s been saying that he`s looking for a striker, which is obviously what we need. With Miller out on loan, and Porter being “preferred”, it doesn`t take a brainiac to realise that we need a proven and consistent forward. The midfield is looking to be shored up as well.

I reckon the squad we have at the moment are capable of going places, but some would probably disagree with me on that one. In my defence you have to take into account the knocks and amount of games we`ve had recently, and still have to come.

I`m sure play-off places are a very long shot now, but you never know!

As always though??.

Keep the faith and UTB!!
