Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough says he expects one player to leave this week whilst he is hoping to bring a few in.

Striker Florent Cuvelier looks set to leave Bramall Lane on a loan deal.

Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, Clough said, “There is a chance that Florent Cuvelier will be going out on loan and that was the reason he wasn`t involved at Notts County.

“It will be a loan move and we are trying to sort it out this week.”

United have so far added just Billy Paynter to their squad in this transfer window and following the defeat at Notts County on Saturday, a result that leaves them just outside the relegation zone, Clough says they are desperately trying to add to their squad before the game with Bradford City next weekend. “We are trying desperately to bring in two or three players. “We would hope to have a few in before next weekend,” continued Clough.
