Sheffield United striker Jon Stead says it was a ‘big lift’ to come away with a result from the Valley.
Stead’s fantastic strike in the second half was enough to earn the Blades a valuable point against relegation rivals Charlton.
Speaking to the official site, stead said,
‘The game was scrappy at times but it doesn’t matter because we came here to get something.
‘We came to win the game but they got the goal, with the help of a deflection and our goal came at the right time.
‘Some of the away results recently have been disappointing but we are showing that we are in the fight.
‘We’ve done well against teams around us and this result is a big lift for us.’
