Bryan Robson felt that a lack of discipline cost the Blades against Scunthorpe on Saturday.
The United boss told the official club site:
‘We got back to 2-2 and we got carried away. We gave away needless free-kicks late on and that cost us.’
‘We didn’t deserve to win it, but I thought we could have won it, we put them on the back foot (late on).
‘What you have to do is compete with them (Scunthorpe) and anticipate the second ball- we didn’t do either.’
Meanwhile, Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins believed ex-Blade, Forte, was pivotal in the game:
‘It was the right time with half an hour to go to introduce an ex-Sheffield United player in Forte.
‘And low and behold within 30 seconds he put Martin Paterson through who did ever so well for the goal.’
