It seems a bit quiet in the close season so far. With the newest two signings in Mark Duffy and Chris Hussey, and the attempted capture of Chris Taylor, and the protracted contract discussions with George Long, I’m wondering who’s on the new boss’s hitlist.
I’m sure there’s hectic scouting going on behind the scenes at BDTBL, but there’s no rumours at the moment either. I hope we can grab some decent talent in the next couple of months, which will give the team time to gel together and be effective at the start of the next season.
Talking of which, I so wanted those ‘leaked’ fixtures to be correct, as I’m due back to work on the 7th August, and the home match that was mentioned on the 6th would’ve suited me down to the ground. Not to worry, something else to look forward to I suppose.
It’s a bit dull now there’s no footy on, apart from the Euros. Mind you I have a couple of things to look forward to this weekend. My lad’s U15’s trial with another local club, plus an U14’s tournament on Sunday, so at least there’s a bit of footy to watch!
Anyway, will look forward to seeing who else CW can lure to the Lane over the next month or so.
