The pre-season camp in Portugal is coming to an end for United, and tonight they’ll cap it off with a friendly match, before travelling back to England at the weekend.
United will face Casa Pia, a team that’s based in Lisbon. Casa Pia are a top flight team in Portugal after gaining promotion last season. The match will take place at their home ground, the Estádio Pina Manique, with the kick-off at 6pm later today.
This will be a great opportunity to not only see the new signings in action, but to also see some of the youngsters in action. As always in friendlies, the spotlight will be on the new signings and how they fit into their new team.

This friendly kicks off United’s pre-season games, they’ll have five more friendlies to follow in the less exotic climate of England. With games against Lincoln City, Scunthorpe United, Mansfield Town, Burton Albion and Barnsley, all in the span of 11 days. Some of those fixtures will be behind closed doors.
All of these pre-season games build up to the opening game of the season, on the 1st of August at Vicarage Road against Watford with an 8PM kick off time, live on Sky Sports on a Monday night.
