It seems as if the club is very much in fire-fighting mode right about now.

After the calamity that was our defeat at St James’ Park over the weekend, the message from those within Bramall Lane seems to be one of trying not to make sure fans get too disheartened and look at the bigger scheme of things.

Speaking to the press yesterday ahead of tomorrow’s game with Manchester United, Blades midfielder Oliver Norwood did his best to try and calm the situation, pointing out that this is merely a blip in the grand scheme of things that is our season:

“It’s not a crisis. We’ve lost a game of football. It’s the first we’ve lost since Liverpool away. We’re not in a bad place, but we need to get ourselves going and back to the levels we’ve set.”

Do you agree with Norwood's comments?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The Northern Irishman’s words sparked quite the reaction from the supporters.

The message coming from the fans was pretty clear. It wasn’t so much that the team lost, teams lose all the time, and we are very much punching above our weight in this division so we are exceeding expectations and playing with house money, it’s the fact that we were so poor in the game that is the major sticking point with the fans.

What about you? What do you make of Norwood’s comments?
