Daniel Jebbison has been a hot topic amongst Blades supporters ever since he scored on his debut in the 20/21 Premier League season, in United’s 1-0 away win at Everton.

Last season the 19 year-old had a loan spell at Burton Albion, in League 1, in the early part of last season. But due to United suffering injuries at the top end of the pitch, his loan spell ended earlier than was planned. Jebbison actually ended up being the clubs top goalscorer in the league, scoring 7 goals for them.

In the second half of the last campaign the teenager made 8 appearances for United, all but one of them were off the bench. With an average minutes per game of 25 minutes you can’t really expect a young forward to make much of an impact.

This pre-season Jebbison has looked really sharp, scoring 3 goals as he prepares for his first full season in the Championship. Against Burton he was especially good.

Paul Heckingbottom has recently made some interesting comments regarding the near future of Jebbison:

“Jebbo has done great and I have no interest in sending him out. Again, that may change. We’ll play it by ear. We have no shortage of takers for him, people constantly ringing me but I like how he has responded in pre-season and he’s improved.” [Yorkshire Live]
