Iliman Ndiaye has had an outstanding start to the season, picking up from where he left off at the end of last season.

His performances have warranted an international call-up to Senegal, with the likelihood of him taking part in the World Cup for the African nation.

The Senegalese star has scored 5 goals and assisted once in the first 10 games of the season, and there seems to be no signs of him slowing down. Dating back to the end of last season, the 22-year-old has netted 9 times in his last 15 appearances in the Championship.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Sheffield United received high interest this summer from Premier League clubs regarding the talented forward Iliman Ndiaye. However, the Blades stood firm and reiterated that the player is not for sale.

Paul Heckingbottom has been doubly determined to enter contract talks with Ndiaye over the past few weeks. The Senegalese international’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2024, with the January transfer window approaching, United would be wise to get that contract extension signed during this autumn period.

It would be disastrous to lose Ndiaye on the cheap. A player that has shown he doesn’t have many limitations to his game, he can provide those magical moments that the big teams look for in forward players.
