The 1-1 draw against Charlton last weekend saw a number of impressive performances from Blades players.

The latest Vital Sheffield United poll asked fans to vote on their man of the match.

The results are in and it seems a number of people either need a trip to the opticians, or are not taking the poll very seriously!

Striker Luton Shelton came in top place, with 28% of the votes. Undoubtedly Shelton was superb against Man U, but his performance against Charlton left a lot to be desired.

The striker was even substituted on the hour mark after struggling to have any sort of impact on the game.

Second place went to defender Derek Geary, who managed 20% of the votes.

Geary put in a solid display at the back and also broke forward to support the attack on a number of occasions.

Who am I to question people’s judgement, but I can’t help but feeling both Michael Tonge and Jon Stead will feel a little hard done by in receiving just 12% of the votes each?

The latest poll asks fans for their opinion on Jagielka winning player of the season.
