Is it just me, or do all these recent interviews sound like they’ve got a tinge of anger attached to them?

Almost as if it came as a personal insult to them that the season happened to be stopped. First, you’ve got Oliver Norwood and Chris Wilder talking about the intensity levels around the club, with George Baldock talking about the sacrifices he’d be willing to make to get football back.

Now Ben Osborn has added to those ranks with some fiery comments of his own.

Speaking in an interview with The Star, the Blades defender absolutely tore into the notion that delaying the season any further would be a good idea, because it would be unfair on teams like Sheffield Wednesday who did everything right up to this point:

“I think there’s more than enough time to prepare. We were keeping fit and I don’t really see why more professional clubs, such as ourselves, should get punished by pushing it back even more. There’s nothing wrong with the times. The earlier the better for us to be honest. We’re fine with the start date.”

Will Osborn start more than 15 games for us next season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

I’m almost getting a sense of Liverpool with their ‘this means more’ mantra from a few seasons ago, that because of our underdog status, given how many people thought we’d be relegated this season, that the club’s sole intent for this season is to get as high up the table as possible, because every place higher is just another step further away from where people thought we would be.

Let’s just hope that we’re able to carry this sort of momentum and intensity into next season, who knows what sort of a force we’ll be if we can carry on at the same rate we’ve been going at this season.

What about you? What do you make of Osborn’s comments?
