Sheffield United head to Burnley today looking for their second consecutive victory since the restart of the Premier League. After a tough start which saw them claim just one point in three games, and dumped out of the FA Cup in the last minute, United, finally, claimed a victory, and in impressive style, and will look to take that to Turf Moor against Clarets side who, too, are looking to finish in a European spot.

United supporters were beginning to think that the season would end with the Blades failing to pick up maximum points in a game, having drawn 0-0 at Villa, followed by 3-0 defeats at Newcastle and Manchester United, and a 2-1 loss at home to Arsenal in the cup, it was looking worse for wear.

However, the Blades first ‘home’ game in the Premier League since the restart saw United overcome Tottenham Hotspur 3-1. Sander Berge had given the hosts a first-half lead, though Harry Kane was denied an equaliser by VAR.

Lys Mousset and Oli McBurnie added to Tottenham’s woes in the second half, though they did have a further two goals ruled out for offside before Kane netted a consolation.

It was an inspiring performance which supporters have been used to throughout most of the season, and we would hope that United take this into the game at Turf Moor.

Chris Wilder’s Blades are expected to be without some key personnel. Jack O’Connell (knee) is getting close to fitness but isn’t ready yet. Meanwhile, trio; John Fleck (groin), John Lundstram (shoulder) and Luke Freeman (unknown) are expected to be sidelined for a fortnight, and we project them possibly to return in the home match with Chelsea. Striker Leon Clarke is also ruled out with injury.
