On Friday evening Sheffield United welcomed Sheffield Wednesday to Bramall Lane for the first Steel City Derby of the 2018/19 Championship campaign.

With more than just points up for grabs, bragging rights were shared in the late kickoff as both sides played out a scoreless draw.

United easily had the better of the game with 75% possession and 19 chances overall compared to their seven and had David McGoldrick’s penalty been converted early on in the game, we’d have probably gone on to record a pretty comfortable victory.

The draw did see us miss the opportunity to return to the top of the second tier table and WhoScored narrowly had Oliver Norwood down as our Man of the Match given his individual performance.

The 27-year-old scored a round 8 for his efforts on the day, but centre-half Chris Basham picked up 7.98.

The top five on the evening were completed by Mark Duffy, Jack O’Connell and John Fleck.
