Blades remain unbeaten after the 1-1 draw at Bramall Lane today, against Birmingham City.

United went in front via a stunning volley from Oli McBurnie, however, they were pegged back after veteran striker Troy Deeney fired home a flick-on.

Heckingbottom made two changes with Khadra and Doyle recalled to the starting XI in place of the injured Ahmedhodžić (thigh) and Brewster. Brewster was joined on the bench by Adam Davies and Jayden Bogle.

It was all up for grabs in the first 15 minutes as both sides jostled for control of the game. The only early chance for either side fell to McBurnie from a corner, but it would’ve needed to be one hell of a header to score.

Shortly after, Doyle hit the top of the crossbar from a wide free-kick that had Ruddy scampering back. Then followed a chance for Berge, as he curled a left-footed effort wide of the far post with Ndiaye inches away from getting a telling touch.

In the second half, Ndiaye had a good chance to score from a header, but he failed to hit the target. With United fairly dominant but unable to score, Paul Heckingbottom made a double change and minutes after United took the lead through McBurnie. McBurnie swivelled on the ball and volleyed it into the top right-hand corner.

The Blues levelled as Deeney timed his run perfectly and kept his composure to beat Foderingham from close-range after Bielik had flicked on Chong’s left-footed cross.

Experienced keeper Ruddy denied the experienced striker Sharp as he went one-on-one late in the game, ultimately the two sides couldn’t be split.
