Well, I don’t want to say that there is dissent within the ranks.
But all is certainly not well when it comes to the fans and Chris Wilder at the moment. Whether it’s us that’s in the wrong, or if it’s him, or if it’s a combination of the two, we’ll just have to try and work that out.
Having previously come out and rubbished the idea of getting ahead of himself in regards our push towards European football, speaking in his press conference yesterday ahead of our midweek game against Manchester United, Wilder seemed to issue some sort of challenge to the fans as to whether or not we should be critical about the past two games, considering where we were when he first took over.
“I’ll let supporters discuss if we’re a disgrace or diabolical and let everybody down. Or if we’re allowed a performance or two in three years that’s not up to the mark.”
Do you agree with Chris Wilder's comments?
Yes
No
And his words certainly inspired a response from the fans, who seemed to be rather split on whether or not it was indeed fair to call out the team after their poor showing over the past week in comparison to the entirety of Wilder’s time at the helm.
Not up to the mark is a real under statement for yesterday’s performance

Sharp would normally bury the header from 6 yds out. Score that and Enda’s 1 in 100 game error and different ball game. Not excusing how did-jointed it was though. I think they need to be braver on the ball, it will come.

They were diabolical yesterday, but diabolical performances have been almost non existent in the last 3 or 4 years, so we were due a couple.

Panic! Blades have had a couple of iffy games in very strange times.. or have fans forgotten we aren’t still floundering in the 3rd division.

Go back 1506 days and the thought of being 7th in the premiership would have you carted off to the funny farm.

Probably a wake up call to majority of the supporters. We’ll do well to survive next season, no disgrace in that. Takes 3/4 seasons to establish yourself as PL club & must keep expectations realistic.

What about you? What do you make of Wilder’s comments?
