Sheffield United face Yorkshire rivals Hull City under the Bramall Lane lights on Friday night, but what does the latest injury report look like?

Last Saturday, every supporter held their breath when club top scorer Iliman Ndiaye went down with what appeared to be an impact injury which led to the Senegal international being substituted.

Paul Heckingbottom confirmed after the game that “he wanted to stay on”, however the coaching staff and physio’s were not willing to take the risk.

On Wednesday afternoon the manager brought music to every fans ears when he told SUTV:

“He’s fine. He trained today, so yeah, we’re pleased with that.”

Ndiaye scored for the first time since netting the initial equaliser in United’s 5-2 comeback win over Burnley in November. But the versatile and silky forward has been in immense form in terms of setting up his teammates. Since coming out of the World Cup break Ndiaye has registered 5 assists in 6 games.

Last Saturday’s goal against Stoke City now nudges him on to 10 Championship goals this season, moving him 1 ahead of Oli McBurnie who incidentally has missed the last 5 competitive matches.

Paul Heckingbottom also confirmed today that McBurnie has been training with the squad:

“Oli Mac’s trained with us. Flecky and Ciaran are on the grass doing their bits and pieces. That’s where we are.” [SUTV]

Heckingbottom stated that United’s number nine is confident in his ankle, but we’ll have to see whether or not McBurnie will be involved in any capacity on Friday night, having missed many weeks.

Baldock, Stevens and Clark have been ruled out for the game.
