Top-scorer Steven Kabba has silenced groups of supporters
today by pledging his allegiance to the club in signing a new contract.

The negotiations between Kabba and The Blades had
become somewhat of an unwelcome saga and after negotiations broke down earlier in the season many feared the lightning fast striker would seek a contract elsewhere. However after agreeing to sign a new deal early next week Kabba will commit himself to United until summer 2008.

Warnock mentioned that distasteful media coverage speculation had led to fans beleiving Kabba was acting greedily had ?disappointed? the player, quickly mentioning that leaving the club ?was never the case?.

Kabba signed for the blades in the 02/03 season and was unlucky not to fire the team in to the premiership straight away scoring netting eleven times in his first season. However, the next two years were hell for him as Warnock described him as ?the unluckiest player in the world? as consecutive injuries kept him on the sidelines for two years straight. However this season Kabba?s, as he is affectionately known by the fans, is back stronger than ever finding the back of the net nine times already.
