I’d imagine a few were wondering why Harry Maguire didn’t feature in the four-two win over Dundee at Bramall Lane this week?
Nigel Clough has said that the defender was missing as he felt ‘unwell’, rumours in the lead up to this game had been suggesting that an exit was imminent and if he missed this game you would have a fair idea why….
Clough told the official website: ‘Nothing has changed with regards the future of Harry Maguire.
‘We have a reasonable valuation on him and it hasn’t been reached.
‘The reason he didn’t feature against Dundee was because he felt unwell. It is hard to believe, but he spent too much time in the sun on Thursday afternoon and it wasn’t worth risking him.’
It is ‘hard to believe’ that he was ill and if you were a cynic then you would not believe this really would you as it seems a little too convenient doesn’t it?
As it stands though Maguire is still a Blade, for now!
