Important Duo Missing For Blades

Sheffield United are expected to be without two key players for the remainder of the season, it has been announced. The Blades host promotion-chasing Blackburn Rovers tonight at Bramall Lane in front of the sky cameras in what could prove to be an important six-pointer Championship clash as we head into the final dozen league games of the season.

A great run of recent form has seen the Blades propel into the last remaining Play-Off. Since Paul Heckingbottom took charge as head coach in November 2021, replacing former boss, Slavisa Jokanovic, the Blades have gone from strength to strength, suffering one defeat in their last twelve Championship fixtures, and have recorded eight victories during this spell.

Following double back-to-back goalless draws with Huddersfield Town and Hull City in the last fortnight, the Blades made up for a mini goal drought with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Swansea City last Saturday at Bramall Lane.

A victory for the Blades, married by results elsewhere from last night’s Championship fixtures, could see the S2 club march into the fourth position on goal difference.

They will be without Jayden Bogle (knee), and David McGoldrick (thigh) through injury. The pair require an operation that will see them ruled out for the remainder of the season. The Blades are also without striker Rhian Brewster (hamstring), through injury.
