Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder was nominated for the February Championship Manager of the Month Award given our form in recent weeks and he’s only gone and won it.
With a tricky set of fixtures across February, we had games against West Bromwich Albion, Reading, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers, but the players battled to a return of 13 points from a possible 15 to lift us into the top two of the second tier table.

Unbeaten, we also kept four clean sheets across the month and speaking to Sky Sports as he collected the trophy Wilder made a big play of how the players reacted to the Villa game in particular as that 3-3 draw was the one that went against us with their dramatic late comeback.
Taking to social media to react to the gaffer’s win, plenty of fans hoped the dreaded Manager of the Month curse would be avoided given how close we are to the automatic promotion spots.
