Sheffield United have confirmed this week that we will have four players out on international duty during the March break.

Mick McCarthy is preparing for his first game now he’s in his second spell in charge of the Republic of Ireland and all four selections have been called up by him.

Defensive duo John Egan and Enda Stevens retain their places in the provisional Eire squad for the upcoming European Championship 2020 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Georgia, and they are joined by David McGoldrick who returns to the squad under a manager he knows well from his time at Portman Road and Ipswich Town.

The final call up goes to on loan Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan.

The Group D double header sees the Republic travel to Gibraltar on Saturday, March 23, before they return to home soil and host Georgia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Tuesday, March 26.

No injuries would be nice.
