“He’s been outstanding”- Many Blades supporters praise 25 y/o making a case to start more often

It looks like he’s really settling in.

Just goes to show what he’s capable of when he’s given a consistent run in the first-team rather than ducking in and out, and long may it continue.

I’m talking of course about Ben Osborn.

Having now started the last four games for The Blades in the Premier League, he’s started to show what he can bring to the team, even if it’s not something that is tracked as often as goals and assists.

According to this stat from @The_Bladesman, Osborn has provided three ‘pre-assists’ three of the eight goals that Sheffield United have scored in that time. He also forced the corner that brought about John Egan’s late winner against Wolves.

And it was stats like this that have made him quickly becoming one of the more respected players in Chris Wilder’s squad, so when the stat came up, they were quick to compliment the 25-year-old for his displays since the restart.

not sure how to phrase it but i'm sort of pleased fleck missed some games, not sure we'd have known about Osborn's sheer midfield talent otherwise

I was impressed with him when he played in the early games of the cup run – it's fantastic to see him in the first team and showing what he's capable of. I like Fleck too so it's gong to be a real fight for places
