Leicester City are believed to be a step closer to capturing Blades striker Ched Evans.
The Foxes, headed by Evans former boss Sven Goran Eriksson are favourites for the Welshman’s signature after recently acquiring Kasper Schmeichel from Leeds United.
Darius Henderson left the club yesterday, as United’s Summer saving scheme begins, and at the head of the list for the chop is thought to be Evans with his £17,000 per week plus.
The striker had reported “personal issues” recently which may have hampered the deal slightly, but now the teams are back in training, it’s thought that a deal may come sooner rather than later.
