Lots of Blades fans have been reacting to some footage from this season that the club posted on their Twitter feed.

That’s right, actual footage, from an actual game, this season, before the dark times of isolation and the football season being put on hiatus. The game in question was the Blade’s narrow 1-0 defeat against league leaders Liverpool back nearer the start of the season.

The game was arguably best remembered for the mistake that goalkeeper Dean Henderson made that allowed Liverpool to take all three points, but for the most part the Blades managed to give a good account of themselves, with the match report showing that they managed to get 12 shots away and forcing more corners than their opponents.

So despite the scoreline, it was nice to see just what the Blades have brought to the table this season, and the reaction of the Blades fans gave a little insight into how exciting things used to be.

Let’s just hope we get back to those days sooner rather than later.
