Sheffield United striker Ched Evans has been ruled out of the Wales squad for their two European Qualifiers this week, and has returned to Bramall Lane.
Evans, who has struggled with injuries since joining the Blades over twelve months ago, has enjoyed a lengthy run in the first team at the start of this season, only recently losing his place to Maltese forward Daniel Bogdanovic.
However, after losing Craig Bellamy and Rob Earnshaw already, Wales caretaker-boss Brian Flynn is now without Evans who continues to struggle, and midfielder Joe Allen.
Flynn said: ‘Both have gone back to their clubs for intensive treatment and we are going to reassess the situation on Saturday.’
Whether the former Manchester City man will be ready for United’s next fixture is unknown.
