Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce has today completed a move back to Meadow Lane and former club Notts County on loan.
Having joined us from them over the summer, the 31 year old has made 32 appearances for Nigel Clough so far this campaign scoring seven times, but has been allowed to leave on a loan spell that will last for the remainder of the season.
However, Clough does have a 28 day recall clause in the deal if we need it.
Speaking to the Official Site after the move was announced, Clough explained that at this moment in time the move was best for all parties.
‘At the present time, it is a very good deal for all parties and that was an important factor. Jamal is a good professional and he has contributed heavily towards our success at times this season, but with the squad now looking stronger than it has at any other point during the campaign, starting opportunities have become more limited. So it’s fantastic that this opportunity will allow him to play for a team he knows well at a vital stage in the season, he will help Shaun Derry’s side finish the season well, but if we need him at any stage after the initial 28 days then we can recall him and he will be available for us.’
