Yesterday belonged to Billy Sharp, so it’s only right that the other man of the hour get some love and attention as well.
Oliver Norwood was the other Blades player that signed a new contract the other day, in a deal that will keep him at Bramall Lane until 2023.
Described as ‘influential’ in the club announcement, with Norwood leads the team in both average passes and key passes per game, so to call him influential would certainly be an apt description.
He took to social media yesterday to talk about how excited he was to have signed a new contract, as well as the tremendous season that the Blades are having, that hopefully we’ll be able to finish off in style when the season gets underway again next week.
Should Norwood be the club's captain next season?
Yes
No
And Blades fans couldn’t contain themselves when they saw the message, as they swarmed social media to comment on what he’s done for the club and how much they appreciate his efforts.
Brilliant player in a brilliant team.

What about you? What have you made of Norwood’s contribution to the team so far?
Good player. With his ability to strike a ball all over the park, he should be scoring more goals from around the box. Not a criticism, he has the ability.
