I think we might have been a little bit short-changed here.
Given how well we managed to beat a lot of expectations, we should be getting a little bit more recognition than this, but I suppose it’s better than nothing.
Premier League legend Alan Shearer has picked his Team of the Season, and as you might expect there are a bunch of players from within the top four. There were however a few exceptions to that rule, and one of them was Sheffield United defender Chris Basham.
Should Chris Basham be considered for an England cap?
Yes
No
Now you could make the argument that Chris Wilder could have gone in as manager of the year, or that Dean Henderson should have been in as goalkeeper, but there will be very few, Blades fans especially that will doubt Basham’s credentials when it comes to his selection, as they proved when they saw Basham’s latest achievement, although there were some who felt that he could and should have had some company in there.

What about you? Do you think that there should have been more Sheffield United players selected?
