Sheffield United have signed Elian Parrino on a season-long loan deal from Argentine giants Estudiantes.
Parrino, who featured for them in their 1-0 defeat to the Blades in pre-season will spend the remainder of the season at Bramall Lane, and is already looking to break into Speed’s first team plans.
‘I was really happy when the chance to join Sheffield United came up because I enjoyed the pre-season match here.
‘Argentinians love English football and once I was told that I could sign here it was an easy decision.
‘My aim is to force my way into the team, do well and work hard to get a longer contract with Sheffield United.’
With the recent injuries to Kyle Bartley, Chris Morgan and Rob Kozluk, the versatile defender will have propelled himself into contention for a place on the bench at least.
