After registering double back-to-back goalless draws in the Yorkshire Derbies at Huddersfield Town and home to Hull City in the past seven days, the Blades will be looking to find their way on the score-sheet tomorrow as they entertain Swansea City at Bramall Lane (kick-off; 3 pm).

It makes it 190 minutes since Billy Sharp netted United’s second goal of the evening in the 2-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion three games ago.

Paul Heckingbottom could name a trio of former Swansea City players to face their former club. Morgan Gibbs-White, Oli McBurnie, and Conor Hourihane are all likely to feature. Meanwhile, another former Jack, Rhian Brewster (hamstring), is sidelined through injury. The Blades will also be without fellow striker David McGoldrick, who is nursing a thigh injury.

The Bramall Lane crowd tomorrow will be looking to celebrate goals after the fixture earlier in the campaign, on 14th August 2021, ended 0-0. At the time, it was the Blades first point of the season under former boss Slavisa Jokanovic. To date, the Blades have registered five goalless draws in the Championship this season.

Last season’s Play-Off finalists, Swansea City, haven’t enjoyed a great season this time around and find themselves 16th in the table after 30 league games played. They also come into this fixture in poor form with three victories in their last ten Championship outings and have drawn twice. They were victorious in their last encounter against Swansea City last Sunday at home to Bristol City. Despite falling behind to Andreas Weimann’s strike on 42 minutes, the Jacks rallied in the second half, and through Michael Obafemi on 54 minutes, they levelled the score. On-loan Fulham Cyrus Christie headed home on 79 minutes, and Joel Piroe netted in stoppage-time to complete the comeback, to win the game 3-1.

Swansea manager, Russell Martin, will travel to Bramall Lane tomorrow without former Sheffield United and Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Naughton (thigh) through injury. They will also be without new signing Nathanael Ogbeta, through injury, who has yet to make his City debut since arriving from Shrewsbury Town last month.
