Kevin Blackwell has stated that neither Matthew Kilgallon nor Darius Henderson are likely to be risked for tonight’s FA Cup 3rd round replay at Loftus Road.
Marcel Seip and Lee Williamson are likely to return to the team in place of Kilgallon (hamstring) and Ched Evans, should Blackwell opt for his preferred 4-5-1 formation away from home.
‘We won’t risk Gary Naysmith or Darius Henderson either, Jamie Ward has a bit of a knock and we do have two or three injuries, but at least Lee Williamson is back to full fitness.’
The Blades manager does see it as the ideal opportunity for Seip, a recent signing from Plymouth Argyle whose only appearance so far was as a half-time substitute in the original staging of the tie.
‘It is an opportunity for him and, given our lack of cover, it is pretty obvious that he will play.’
Meanwhile Rangers will be without Gavin Mahon and Blades foe Gareth Ainsworth who are still sidelined, but former Blade Mikele Leigertwood should feature for Paul Hart’s men.
