Sheffield United have signed defender Danny Batth from Wolverhampton Wanderers just hours before the loan deadline.
Batth, who has previously represented Colchester United in a loan spell, will join the Blades to act as cover in the sparse central defensive positions, especially with the recent injury to Chris Morgan.
The youngster, a towering central defender has featured for the midlanders in their Carling Cup campaign this season, completing 120 minutes against Southend United, and despite not arriving at the Lane as first choice could be handed the chance to make an impression should fellow loanees Nyron Nosworthy or Kyle Bartley fail to perform.
