Sheffield United continued their push for automatic promotion back to the Premier League in the campaign of 2018/19 with a comfortable South Yorkshire derby victory over Rotherham United in Saturday’s early Championship kickoff.

Centre-half Jack O’Connell opened the scoring for the Blades five minutes into the game but it did take us until the 74th minute (Mark Duffy) to secure the second goal of the game. It was a complete performance though and we dominated, especially after they went down to ten men just ahead of the half hour mark.

Statistics website Whoscored were very positive in their player ratings from the game, and goalscorer Duffy took their star man award with a score of 8.59.

Fellow goalscorer O’Connell followed in second place with 8.43 and the top five best performers in their eyes were completed by Oliver Norwood (7.88), John Fleck (7.85) and Enda Stevens (7.55).

Special mentions for David McGoldrick, Chris Basham and George Baldock who all received seven plus scores from the game.
