Youth Cup second leg dawns for

Sheffield United’s young stars will feature in the biggest game of their career so far tomorrow, with an FA Youth Cup Second round replay against Aston Villa.

The Blades carry a one goal lead into the game, and will be looking to qualify for the final where they will meet either Manchester United or Chelsea.

However, John Pemberton’s men will be without leading marksman Jordan Slew, who played just under 20 minutes for England (U19) last week. Slew received a red card in the closing stages in the first leg, which ruled him out of the return.

A bumper crowd is expected at the Lane, with tickets being offered free for season-ticket holders and £3 / £1 otherwise.

United’s lead comes thanks to Joe Ironside’s goal in the game at Villa Park, and the striker is expected to lead the line once again.

  • Good luck to the lads, and the fans certainly deserve a bit of cheer for the dreadful season we have had to endure with the seniors.

  • jsut got back in UK after working away…good luck to the juniors…what was last night like for anyone who went? or does the scoreline tell the story?…game over for me (has been for a long time) but 7 points and 7 goals is too much to pick up in 7 games when youve only won 2 in 20 odd games…

  • Gleadless, It was about what I expected, QPR were good for the 3 goals, and God Warnock was magnamous with his comments before and after the game. Move on to Boro.
