Young At Bart

Sheffield United have signed Arsenal centre-back Kyle Bartley on loan until May 12th.

Bartley, 18 is able to go directly into the squad for tonight’s game against Preston North End, and could line up alongside Nyron Nosworthy, allowing Toni Kallio to move to left-back.

‘I am delighted to have got him, he’s got the right calibre even though making his league debut with a new club at such a young age will be a big challenge for him.’ said manager Kevin Blackwell.

With Chris Morgan and Marcel Seip unavailable, cover was required at the back, and Bartley will join Kallio and Nosworthy who were brought in during January.
