Well, this certainly is a bit of a pickle isn’t it?
It puts the ball well and truly in Manchester United’s court regarding Dean Henderson’s future, and whilst it offers up an opportunity for Sheffield United to pounce, we’re still very much a long way from bringing him to Bramall Lane permanently.
According to a report in The Manchester Evening News, Blades’ on loan stopper Henderson has made one demand when it comes to his contract negotiations at Old Trafford and that is a promise that he will get the number one spot.
Whether this comes at some point in the future (which seeing as incumbent David De Gea has a contract in place until 2023 might well be a while), or going into the 2020/21 season is at this point unclear.

Why would he want to go from being number one at a good Premier league club, to bench warming at a club at the same level (albeit there's the money). I think it shows he wants to play rather than posture. So many players have made money contracts but not really played.
