Will United break the ‘curse’ today?

Sheffield United’s home campaign gets under way at 3PM today against Millwall. Millwall can be described as a ‘bogey team’. The Blades have only beaten the South Londoners once in the last 4 meetings.

Millwall have a knack of scoring late goals against United, particularly at Bramall Lane. In the 1-1- draw in the league in 2019, United conceded a 95th minute goal to throw away the win.

Last season Millwall took all 3pts in the 92nd minute. There is a common theme here. Jake Cooper. In the last 3 games where Millwall have scored against United, Cooper has got himself on the scoresheet.

With the addition of Charlie Cresswell to Millwall’s back line, their threat in the air has become even stronger. Cresswell is the son of former Blade Richard Cresswell. He scored twice on the opening game of the season. Could he score this afternoon against his Dads former side? Will Jake Cooper get on the scoresheet? Or will United break this ‘curse’?
