Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has said he’s relishing the opportunity of facing the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez when we face Leicester City this week.

Making the trip to the King Power Stadium to face off against Leicester in the fifth round of the FA Cup, Wilder told the Official Site as he met with the media that he fully expected opposite number Claude Puel to select a strong side for the match and he was okay with that as it allows us to benchmark against their quality.

‘There is a trophy up for grabs for them, they are possibly safe from relegation and need an incredible run to qualify for Champions League given the teams above them. I would imagine they’re trophy hunting and whatever XI they decide to play it will be a really good starting XI and for that matter 18.’

With Manchester City so dominant this year under Pep Guardiola, Wilder knew their ambitions had been raised by their own Premier League success so the FA Cup is a very important challenge for them, so he knows they will take it seriously.

‘I remember seeing the Tottenham’s game at Newport and with Spurs chasing the game Kane ends up playing 90 minutes and scores late on. If teams are that concerned about rotating and resting then Harry Kane is nowhere near South Wales on a cold January evening.’

He added.

‘The top Premier League clubs want to put a trophy in the cabinet and whether it’s Manchester City, Tottenham or Leicester they will all want to lift the FA Cup at Wembley.’
