Sheffield United continue their preparations for the massive Yorkshire Derby clash with Leeds United this weekend.
Chris Wilder’s side make the trip to Elland Road for the game with far more than just bragging rights resting on the 90 minutes as the tight battle at the top of the Championship table does mean the winner takes an advantage in the battle for the automatic spots.
With a goal return of 23 for the campaign so far, it’s Billy Sharp’s best return in a season to date in the second tier of the game, but had been rested in recent matches against Rotherham United and Brentford, but Wilder has confirmed this week that he will come back into the starting lineup for the clash against Marcelo Bielsa’s boys.
“Marcelo Bielsa has named his team. Billy Sharp will start and be our captain.”
Not entirely unexpected I wouldn’t have thought given the magnitude of the game but it will be a boost for many fans, especially in light of his personal goal return against them.
