This season has been an emotional wave for the supporters of Sheffield United, who were given very little chance of surviving by the media, and could potentially earn a place in Europe for the first time in the clubs history. They have also been successful thus far in the FA Cup, and following victories over AFC Fylde, Millwall and Reading, are just 90 minutes away from a place in the FA Cup semi-final but must first get through a home tie with Arsenal.

The match against the former Premier League champions has been scheduled for Sunday, 22nd March, with a 1.30 PM kick-off. The game itself could be in jeopardy and may have to be re-scheduled or (in an extreme measure), played behind closed doors.

This is all due to Arsenal’s decision to postpone their fixture with last season’s champions Manchester City, after the team have taken the decision they place themselves under a 14 day isolation period, which affects the game at Bramall Lane also.

Greek side Olympiakos chairman Evangelos Marinakis has tested positive for Covid-19, and it is suspected that several players and officials may have come into contact with him, and the club has followed strict health guidelines in containing this worldwide epidemic.

It is unclear at this stage whether or not the Blades cup fixture with Arsenal will be affected, but if they plan to sit out the 14 days then more than likely this fixture will be re-scheduled.
