Sheffield United have completed the signing of Fulham defender Toni Kallio, as announced by Vital Sheff Utd.
Kallio, a January singing in 2008 along with Jari Litmanen has failed to cement a place in Fulham’s first team, but his 6foot 4 frame will provide adequate cover form Blackwell’s men.
Unfortunately, like Andrew Davies, his loan deal will end late December, but before the transfer window re-opens in January, leaving the Blades short for some key games over the festive period.
Kallio, a 31 year old who’s nicknames ‘bonecrusher’ by his native Finns, has amassed almost fifty caps for the national team.
He has spent the majority of his career in his homeland, with the most distinct spell of his career coming with HJK.
