What a fantastic win

I was listening to the match on BBC Radio Sheffield on Friday evening. I thought we were bossing the game somewhat with the amount of pressure we were piling on Nigel Clough`s Burton side.

It sounded like a bit of a match designed for our way of play and when Sharp netted a penalty in ten minutes I thought that would be all the points headed back North. I watched the goals on telly later on and Burton`s equalizer was a decent strike. Pretty impressive goal to be honest, but Sharp netted just before the break to put us on the front foot. Clarke finished off Burton late on, getting his 9th of the season. I hope Sharp picks up on the scoring front, yes he got two on Friday, but I`ve got him down for the Championship`s top scorer this season and I`ll lose out on a quid if he doesn`t start getting more haha!

The only downside to Friday was seeing the pictures of Coutts` broken leg – looks pretty sore and it`s a shame he`s going to see the season out in the stand as a spectator. I hope he recovers well though, it`s a shame seeing an injury like that happen (which was a high tackle looking at the replays). It`s going to be time for Carruthers or Lundstram to step up to the plate though. I`m not sure who`s going to get the nod, I reckon it will probably be Lundstram as he`s come on as a sub for a few matches.

I`ll be there tomorrow night, back on my seat on the Kop for my penultimate game before I have to go back to sea, I`m hoping for a win, and looking at Fulham`s last four matches, they`ve drawn two and lost two, so I hope that with it being at BDTBL, we can use home advantage to grab another three points and keep the pressure on the top spot.

Wolves aren`t playing tomorrow night so I`m hoping Leeds do us a favour on Wednesday and beat them. That would keep us top if we win tomorrow.

Anyway, I hope the crowd can be the 12th man and get behind the lads and push them on to the win tomorrow night.

UTB!!
