The Sheffield Star report that Webber will be unveiled by Crystal Palace next week. The move will be a loan deal starting on Thursday and is expected to be made permanent at the end of the season.
It’s no surprise that Warnock has moved for Webber, he was always one of his favourites. Webber will be remembered mainly for two things. His goal against Cardiff which sent us up into the Premiership and his miss against Wigan which contributed to our relegation. He’s flattered to deceive on occasion but I think he’ll leave with the good wishes of most at Bramall Lane.
Obviously we couldn’t be left with less than 6 or 7 strikers so we’ve brought a replacement in.
Goran Slavkovski an 18 year old Swedish born striker arrives from Inter Milan. Roberto Mancini says he could become the best player in the world, he’s also willing to let him join the Blades. Make your own mind up about that!
