The Championship season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.
Aston Villa’s surge up the table – as they bid for a place in the automatic spots, which is quite conceivable given their current form – continued with a win over Ipswich.
However, it is rivals Wolves that lead the way, a crushing win over struggling Bolton consolidated top spot as Sheffield United dropped two points – the Blades were held at home by Birmingham.
At the other end, Sunderland secured a desperately needed win over fellow strugglers Burton – it wasn’t enough to take them out of the relegation zone though.
