Hull and Derby meet on Friday with a chance to put pressure on the top-six having made starts a below what would have been expected – the same applies to Aston Villa and Brentford when the pair meet at Villa Park, both at the wrong end of the table.

With five wins out of five Cardiff head to Craven Cottage knowing whatever the result at Fulham the Bluebirds should remain top of the Championship, but Neil Warnock would hope for another three point return to go along with his Manager of the Month award.

Norwich and Birmingham meet at Carrow Road with Canaries second-bottom and Blues sitting just above the relegation zone – a far cry from what would have been expected from both in August… there’s still a long way to go though.

Having lost for a first time before the break, Ipswich bid to return to winning way at QPR, which is something Sunderland also want when Sheffield United go to the Stadium of Light – the Black Cats have lost the last two.

Rounding off the games on Saturday, in the evening kick off, Sheffield Wednesday will look for a first win in five, failing to do so since the opening day of the season, against a Nottingham Forest side that go to Hillsborough having lost two of their last three, including the most recent fixtures.
