The 2017-18 season continues with the latest round of games this weekend. This will see us among those involved with three points of course the aim.

Previous results

Saturday 16th September
Birmingham City 1-3 Preston North End 15:00
Brentford 1-1 Reading 15:00
Bristol City 4-1 Derby County 15:00
Burton Albion 2-1 Fulham 15:00
Cardiff City 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday 15:00
Hull City 1-1 Sunderland 15:00
Ipswich Town 2-0 Bolton Wanderers 15:00
Middlesbrough 3-2 Queens Park Rangers 15:00
Millwall 1-0 Leeds United 15:00
Nottingham Forest 1-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers 15:00
Sheffield United 0-1 Norwich City 15:00
Barnsley 0-3 Aston Villa 17:30

Both Bolton and Brentford are without a win this season – the Trotters could move off the bottom of the table if they win at the Macron Stadium whereas the Bees would move out of the bottom three with victory.

Second bottom Birmingham – who parted with Harry Redknapp after defeat a week ago – head to Derby looking for a turnaround in fortunes.

Despite a defeat last time round, Leeds retained top spot but could have this challenged, in fact probably would, if they lose again – it’ll be unlikely but if Ipswich win at Elland Road they could become the side to replace the Whites.

Preston’s impressive start could see them end the weekend in top spot if they can see off Millwall – fresh from a win over Leeds – at Deepdale.

Both Reading and Hull would have been expected at the top end but find themselves nearer the bottom when they go head-to-head at the Madejski Stadium bidding to finally get their campaigns up and running.

Sunderland are just above the bottom three, currently looking at the prospect of successive relegations, when they host Cardiff, who are well placed in third after just the one defeat so far compared to the Black Cats’ solitary win.

The late kick off will be at Villa Park when Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest – currently below par of expectations for the season – meet with the schedule completed on Sunday with a Sheffield derby at Hillsborough when Wednesday host United.

What will happen in this one though? Cast your vote so we know if you think it’ll be all smiles or disappointment come the full time whistle.
