United’s promising young star Will Osula had an exceptional game for Derby County last night as he helped the Rams to a 5-0 victory over Torquay in the FA cup.

The talented forward of just 19 years of age made his sixth start, fourteen appearances altogether, in all competitions for Derby last night since making his loan switch to Pride Park.

Osula scored a goal and set a goal up for his teammate yesterday, and he registered an incredible ten dribble attempts. The Dane has scored five times during his loan spell thus far.

Sheffield United’s assistant manager Stuart McCall recently told The Star that Osula’s loan to “a big club” like Derby County is just what the youngster needed, and it is paying off for all parties.

The ultimate aim was to expose him to first-team football to help his progression towards being a first-team player for Sheffield United in the future, and so far the loan move is working out perfectly.

Former Blade David McGoldrick has been acting as the mentor for Osula at Derby County using his wealth of experience to help guide the teenager. McGoldrick is already a popular figure amongst the Bramall Lane faithful, and he certainly is doing his reputation no harm whatsoever with his guiding of one of Sheffield United’s most talented youngsters.
