Sheffield United host Sunderland on Wednesday night at 8PM. Last season the Blades registered their first win of the campaign when they faced newly promoted Peterborough at home in their 6th league game of the season.

In the 21/22 Championship campaign, the Blades earned 11pts out of a possible 18 against the League One promoted teams. Tomorrow night will be a difficult task though, most football fans deem the newly promoted sides as an easy 3pts but that’s not always the case.

Sunderland have started terrifically earning 5pts already, 1 more than the Blades. On their day they play with lots of energy throughout the team, and pose a direct threat with Stewart using his power and power through the middle.

Coming into this match, United have some injury concerns that Paul Heckingbottom has updated on:

“Bash fit and with us, he’s available. Bogle is progressing well but won’t put any pressure on that with the nature of the injury. We are pleased where he’s at but it’s a long road. Enda is not on the grass yet but hopefully this week.”  [Yorkshire Live]

“We have had Ozzy scanned but it will be two weeks until he responds. Clark will probably be sooner, we’ll be led by his symptoms but he could be back in a week or so.” [Yorkshire Live]

The Sheffield United skipper returned to the side on Sunday against Middlesbrough, however he rolled his ankle in the game and had to come off. Paul Heckingbottom has detailed Billy Sharps injury:

“Not a timeframe he has not had a scan yet because it did swell up. He rolled his ankle after 10 minutes the fact he played on we knew it would swell up we will have to wait and see when the swelling goes.” [Yorkshire Live]
