Sheffield United the other day confirmed the mutual decision departure of striker Diego De Girolamo.
With a year left on his existing deal, and things not exactly working out as many would’ve thought recently for the 20 year old, a mutual termination of the final 12 months of his deal has taken place and he departs in order to find a new club more easily.
Having made just one appearance for the side in the 2015/16 campaign, he did debut back in December 2012 in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie against Coventry City but then a long term knee injury halted his progress in 2013/14.
He never really made that progress back, and he leaves with only ten senior appearances to his name, with the return of one goal – FA Cup against Preston North End at Deepdale in January 2015.
